Set in 18 acres of manicured gardens and paddocks with stunning views across the undulating North Devon Countryside, Smythen Farm Holiday Cottages are ideal for those who like walking and outdoor pursuits.
Located between Ilfracombe and Combe Martin, we are perfectly placed for all the attractions that North Devon has to offer and close to the sandy beaches of Woolacombe, Croyde, Putsborough , Saunton and Braunton.
Local family attractions include Watermouth Castle the Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, Exmoor Zoo, The Big Sheep and Milky Way amusement park at Bideford. The Tarka Trail for cycling, excellent riding stables and Golf courses for all abilities are located nearby. Boat trips, sailing, fishing, surfing, theatres, cinemas, restaurants, markets, craft centres and just about anything you could imagine can be enjoyed locally.
There is a large children’s play area including a large tree house, swings and a trampoline. All of the land is open to guests and is also home to our three ponies, two donkeys, chickens, ducks, rabbits, and guinea pigs. Sheep and cows graze the beautiful surrounding meadows of the farm.
For the past 14 years Smythen Farm has provided good quality holiday accommodation for those wishing to holiday in north Devon, many of our guests return year after year.
Well behaved dogs are welcome in the majority of our cottages, we have ample room for exercising across our land.
Smythen Farm has been under new ownership since early 2010, with recent refurbishment of the cottages. Smythen Farm Holiday Cottage offers great value with the personal, friendly touch.
Dogs over 2 years old are more than welcome in all of our cottages, with ample room for exercising across our 18 acres of land.
